Space Group was selected based on a prior client recommendation. The task at hand was to conceptualise, install, and furnish a kitchen and restaurant area within their newly constructed warehouse facility.

The restaurant caters for not only warehouse and office staff but also visitors to the site. The client’s specific request was to have the restaurant’s interior design mirror their distinctive branding.

The end result in the dining area is a harmonious fusion of various seating options and versatile spaces that can also accommodate informal meetings and gatherings. An open ceiling design with acoustic rafts was introduced to create a contemporary and visually appealing environment, while also serving the practical purpose of sound dampening in this expansive space.

The kitchen design embraces an open concept and incorporates a range of essential electrical equipment, including combi ovens, a pass-through dishwasher, and a high-performance extraction system. A walk- in cold room and freezer are also integrated for efficient storage and preservation. A sleek and functional counter was custom-designed and fabricated to hold and serve both hot and cold food options, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience.

In addition to traditional service, the design also incorporates a self-service area, allowing restaurant patrons to access beverages like teas and coffees even outside the regular service hours. This thoughtful addition adds convenience and flexibility for users of the restaurant.

The final result not only met the client’s industrial aesthetic aspirations but also provided a functional, modern, and versatile space that caters to the diverse needs of their staff and visitors.

Following on from our discussion and involvement in the above project, we were also invited to fit out the reception and offices, with furniture for about 50 staff.  This included meeting rooms, media booths, conferencing facilities and lockers.  The client had strong ideas about the type, style and colours required and worked collaboratively with our contract furniture team to achieve the light, bright and modern look that was successfully achieved.
