Excel 3

Space Group delivered a landmark commercial kitchen installation within the new Excel 3 development at Excel London, creating a high-capacity, fully electric catering facility designed to support major exhibitions, conferences and international events.

Working closely with Excel London, Levy UK, McLaren Construction and the wider project team, the scheme is one of the largest kitchen project undertaken by Space Group.

Despite significant logistical challenges, including restricted access, a single goods lift and complex crane operations, Space Group successfully installed a comprehensive catering solution featuring electric cooking equipment, bespoke fabrication, walk-in cold rooms, extraction systems, conveyor dishwashers and a dedicated demonstration kitchen.

The project incorporated energy-efficient technologies to support sustainability and BREEAM objectives, resulting in a flexible, high-performance facility that sets a new benchmark for large-scale event catering infrastructure.
