Rob Yorke has recently joined Space Group and comes with a raft of experience after an extensive background in the construction industry.

Having previously worked with Space founder Mike Mellor on a range of past projects, Rob had a good working knowledge of Space Group, its values and vision.  He felt Space Group and the company’s plans for the future were an exciting prospect and something he wanted to be involved in.

Rob’s construction experience has spanned 30 years’ working across all aspects of building including houses, commercial developments and refurbishments.  With previous clients ranging from local authority, the NHS and colleges, to the private sector and partnerships with architects.

Heading up Space Interiors, Rob’s role is to implement and manage construction of projects ranging from office fit outs to front of house foodservice and dining areas.  Construction work in these areas generally includes fitting out serveries, walls, floors, M&E and ceilings.

Rob says “One of the things I enjoy most about this work is watching a project grow from a brief and initial concept to finished venue, and with Space’s regular full-service turnkey developments I get to be involved in that every day.  I look forward to working closely with the team here and our subcontractors to continue delivering quality, affordable projects on time and to brief.”
